"I thought that the more tense I am, the more intense I would play". Veera Karhu, an Erasmus clarinet student in San Sebastián (Musikene), explains how thanks to the Alexander technique she understood that she doesn´t need to "TRY SO HARD" in her playing. She explains the relation between her own use and her sound, observing her habits which were interfering with her Primary Control. In Finland she knew about the AT, but till now she didn´t try it and it is funny to listen to her words describing the AT as "less hippy, less weird and more scientifical than what I thought". She talks about the relation between "neck free + lighter and easier playing".
